11 Saudi Players Face the Unknown After the Transfer Window Closes
Thursday 11-09-2025
A number of Saudi players have entered a critical phase with the closure of the summer transfer market on Wednesday evening, as 11 prominent names found themselves without clubs, led by veteran goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Maiouf.

Al-Maiouf ended his journey with Al-Shabab after the 2024-2025 season, before the club signed Brazilian Marcelo Grohe to replace him on the last day of the transfer window, leaving the veteran goalkeeper without a new destination so far.

Similarly, Nawaf Al-Abed left Riyadh's ranks at the end of last season after participating in 14 matches and scoring a single goal, but he failed to reach an agreement with any new club, facing the same fate.

At the same time, goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Owaisheer became out of the clubs' calculations after failing to find a team this summer, while Mohammed Al-Fateel's contract with Al-Nassr ended without renewal or official transfer, leaving him a free agent.

Awad Khamis left Al-Akhidood without signing a new contract, while Noah Al-Mousa has not appeared in any deal since leaving Al-Fateh mid-last season, continuing his absence from the football scene.

The list also included Khalid Kaabi, who was dropped from Al-Fayha's plans, and Tarek Abdullah, who has not finalized his transfer to Al-Najma despite negotiations, in addition to defender Sami Al-Khaibari and his former teammate at Al-Qadisiyah, Abdullah Hassoun.

As for Mohammed Al-Fuhid, one of the most prominent players in Al-Fateh's history with 382 matches played, he closed a long chapter with the team at the end of the season, without announcing a new step in his career so far.
