Kompany Wants to Use Jackson in All Offensive Positions
Thursday 11-09-2025
In a new tactical move, Belgian coach Vincent Kompany plans to rely on Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson in various offensive positions, giving him multiple roles on the field according to journalist Manu Ponce.

Jackson, who recently joined from Chelsea, will serve as a direct substitute for Harry Kane in the center forward position, in addition to the possibility of utilizing him on the wings as an alternative to Luis Diaz and Michael Olise.

Kompany sees Jackson as a flexible attacking option, as he can also be deployed as a second striker, thanks to his physical attributes that give him an edge over his German teammate Serge Gnabry. These diverse abilities make him a player capable of providing a different contribution when needed, whether in breaking through defenses or pressing opponents.

This move comes after the coaching staff's observations during the early matches of the season, where the team struggled with a lack of offensive solutions, despite scoring many goals but from specific situations, and finding it difficult to have quick alternatives to handle the flow of the match. With Jackson's presence, Kompany hopes to have greater flexibility to impose varied playing styles.

Fans, for their part, are eager to see how successful these changes will be in the upcoming matches, especially since Jackson possesses speed and physical strength alongside good individual skills, which could make him a valuable asset in Kompany's ambitious plans this season.
