Inter Milan Prepares New Attempt to Sign Manu Kony
Thursday 11-09-2025
The website "Football Italia" confirmed that Inter Milan is still interested in signing Roma midfielder Manu Kony, with expectations that the club will make a new attempt to contract him during the winter transfer window in January.

Inter had opened negotiations with Kony last summer, offering more than 40 million euros, but Roma's management backed out of selling the player and decided to keep him in the team.

Inter's interest comes amid Roma's urgent need to raise around 90 million euros to comply with the financial fair play rules imposed by UEFA, making the sale of some players like Kony a viable option to generate the required liquidity.

Roma's advisor Claudio Ranieri warned of the dangers of not adhering to financial play standards, emphasizing the necessity of balancing accounts to avoid penalties, either through improving financial performance or selling players.

It is noteworthy that Roma pledged in 2022 to UEFA to gradually improve its financial situation, aiming not to exceed a total loss of 60 million euros over three consecutive seasons.

Both Manu Kony and Evan Ndicka are among the prominent players expected to attract interest from clubs, while Inter is awaiting the opportunity to sign the French midfielder to strengthen its squad.
