Wednesday 10-09-2025
AS Roma is facing a new crisis ahead of its anticipated match against Torino next Sunday, as part of the third round of the 2025/2026 Serie A season, after Brazilian defender Wesley suffered an injury during the international break with his national team.

According to what was published by 'Football Italia', Wesley is suffering from inflammation in his left knee, which puts him in significant doubt before the upcoming match against Torino.

The Brazilian player was supposed to start in his national team's match against Bolivia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, but he was unexpectedly excluded from the match list, raising doubts about his physical condition.

Wesley played a key role in the first two rounds of the league with his new team and managed to score a goal in his debut wearing the Roma jersey under coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

In light of his potential absence, the coaching staff of Roma is considering relying on either Zaki Celik or Devin Rench to fill the right-back position. Roma is also struggling with the absence of Leon Bailey, the new arrival, due to a muscle injury he sustained in his first training session with the team.
