Media figure Ahmed Shobir revealed the latest updates on appointing a new head coach for Al Ahly.

Shobir stated on his Facebook account: "I asked a responsible source within Al Ahly about the coach situation, and they said that the idea of hiring a new coach has been closed, as we considered it twice with Soares and Ribeiro and it did not succeed. Either we go for a top-tier coach, which costs 8 to 10 million euros, and these are very difficult figures for the club to pay. In this case, we will resort to a Class B coach, and currently, there are 3 names available being evaluated, and Emad Nasser will definitively and certainly manage the match against Enppi."

The match between Al Ahly and Enppi will take place next Sunday as part of the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Currently, the red team occupies the thirteenth position with 5 points, while Enppi is in sixth place with 8 points.
