The management of Saudi Al-Hilal, led by Nawaf bin Saad, has initiated intensive communications with the Italian club Bologna to reach a final agreement that allows the signing of young Argentine striker Santiago Castro before the summer transfer window closes.

Al-Hilal aims to strengthen its attacking line based on a recommendation from Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, who sees the player as a distinctive attacking addition capable of enhancing the team's offensive options in the new season.

Reliable journalist Cesar Merlo mentioned via his account on the platform "X" that negotiations between the two parties have entered a serious phase, and Al-Hilal is awaiting the player's response along with his club's approval to complete the deal.

Merlo pointed out that the final agreement depends on granting Castro the green light, in addition to reaching a complete understanding with Bologna, especially with the summer transfer period approaching its end.

Castro, born on September 18, 2004, is considered one of the most prominent rising talents in the Italian league, having participated with Bologna last season in 36 matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists.

The Argentine striker has also continued his strong presence with his team this season, having participated in two league matches so far, confirming his readiness to compete at the highest levels and increasing Al-Hilal's interest in signing him.
