Real Madrid and French national team star Kylian Mbappe spoke about the other side of the football world, and also touched on the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Mbappe said in a press interview: "The more money you have, the more problems arise. If I didn't have this great passion for football, I would have lost my desire to continue a long time ago."

He added: "I am pessimistic about what the world of football represents, but I am not about life... life is beautiful and wonderful. Fans go to the stadium just to enjoy the match, without seeing what happens behind the scenes."

He continued: "Some do not realize that your life changes, and they want to keep the image they had of you when you were a child. But you grow up and become someone else, taking on responsibilities, committing to obligations, and being held accountable for many things."

Mbappe elaborated on the 2026 World Cup: "I dream of this final morning, noon, and night... I have set the date in my mind in advance."

He added: "We are the most talented team ever, with the greatest potential, but we are not the strongest yet. In every position, we have key players in the biggest clubs in the world; it depends on us now."

He concluded: "Does this team have the ability to become the best in the world? Yes, 100%. Will that happen? We have to make it happen. We must be ambitious with this group."
