Injury Strikes Omar Marmoush
Tuesday 09-09-2025
Omar Marmoush, the star of the Egyptian national team and player for Manchester City, suffered a muscle injury during the Pharaohs' match against Burkina Faso in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Marmoush felt pain in his knee in the third minute of the match, before he pushed through and continued to play for a few more minutes.

By the eighth minute, the Egyptian player fell to the ground again, having failed to continue the match, prompting the coaching staff to substitute him and bring in striker Osama Faisal as his replacement.

This injury is a significant blow for Manchester City before resuming their competitions after the international break, as the English club awaits to determine the extent of the player's injury and the duration of his absence from the field.
