The Turkish club Fenerbahçe announced today the appointment of Italian Domenico Tedesco as the head coach of the first football team with a contract extending until the summer of 2027, as part of the club's plans to enhance its sports project for the upcoming seasons.

The club also revealed the addition of former star player Gökhan Gönül to the new coaching staff as an assistant coach, with a two-year contract, benefiting from the extensive experience he gained during his years of brilliance in the yellow and navy jersey.

Fenerbahçe confirmed that details of the signing ceremony for the new coaching staff will be announced later, in the presence of the club president and senior officials.

It is worth noting that Fenerbahçe had recently announced the dismissal of Portuguese coach José Mourinho after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
