The Saudi Union Club announced in an official statement, via its account on the X platform, that the captain of the first football team, Frenchman Karim Benzema, sustained an injury during the last training session.

The club confirmed in its statement that the player has begun implementing a treatment program within the club's clinic, in coordination with the medical partner 'International Medical Center', and that his condition will be monitored periodically throughout the rehabilitation period.

The Union indicated that Benzema will undergo a complete rehabilitation program until he is ready to return and participate in group training with the team, without disclosing the duration of the player's absence from the team.

The Union is preparing to face its counterpart Al-Fateh on Friday, September 12, in the Saudi league.
