The management of Neom Saudi Club has expressed its desire to acquire the Brazilian striker Marcos Leonardo, a player for Al Hilal, during the ongoing summer transfer window that is about to close.

The newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat revealed that Al Hilal's management is considering the option of loaning the player to Neom, but the final decision still lies with the Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, who determines his technical needs before finalizing the matter.

This consideration to loan Leonardo comes despite his impressive numbers last season, where the Brazilian striker managed to score 17 goals while wearing Al Hilal's jersey, making him one of the standout names in the team's front line.

Al Hilal's management seeks to reduce the number of registered foreign players, especially with prominent names like Yassine Bounou, Matteo Politano, Kalidou Koulibaly, and the Brazilian quartet Malcolm, Caio Cesar, and Renan Lodi alongside Leonardo.

The team also includes a host of global stars led by the Portuguese João Cancelo and Ruben Neves, the French Theo Hernandez, and the Serbian Sergej Milinković-Savić, in addition to the Uruguayan Darwin Núñez, which makes it more challenging to retain all foreign players.

Despite these factors, the newspaper confirmed that Al Hilal's management has already included the name of Marcos Leonardo alongside Renan Lodi in the list participating in the elite AFC Champions League, reflecting the club's commitment to his services in continental competitions.
