The management of Al-Shabab Club is making significant progress towards finalizing the contract with left-back Mohammed Qassem and young striker Abdulaziz Al-Othman, both players from Qadisiyah, before the closing of the current summer transfer window, according to a source close to 'Al-Riyadiyah'.

The source confirmed that the management of both clubs reached a complete agreement on the details of the deal, with an official announcement expected from 'The Lions' in the coming hours, enhancing the team with two new local players.

Qassem is 30 years old and joined Qadisiyah last summer from Al-Nassr, where he played 26 matches. His move to Al-Shabab will be his sixth experience in Saudi stadiums after playing for Al-Ittihad, Al-Faiha, Al-Faisaly, and Al-Nassr.

As for Al-Othman, who is 21 years old, he progressed through the youth ranks at Qadisiyah before being promoted to the first team during the 2023-2024 season. Since then, he has played 53 matches, scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

During the current summer transfer market, Al-Shabab has made six local signings, including Mubarak Al-Rajhi from Al-Ra'ed, Ali Maki from Al-Wehda, the duo Mohammed Al-Muhasna and Hamam Al-Hamami from Al-Ittihad, Abdulaziz Al-Owairedi from Al-Riyadh, and Faisal Sabiani from Al-Ahli.

On the other hand, Brazilian Carlos Junior departed after the end of his loan from Neom, while Al-Shabab added a significant foreign signing by securing Swiss player Vincent Siro from Toulouse, as part of their plan to rejuvenate the team.
