The Portuguese Football Federation announced today, Monday, the withdrawal of Juventus winger Francisco Conceição from the national team camp due to suffering from muscular discomfort, which threatens his participation in the anticipated Derby of Italy against Inter Milan, as part of the third round of the Italian league.

Conceição will miss the match between Portugal and Hungary, scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, September 9, while the player will return to the city of Turin for medical examinations to assess his condition before the upcoming match against Inter Milan.

The match between Juventus and Inter Milan is scheduled to take place next Saturday, September 13, at 7 PM Cairo time, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Conceição had been a starter in the first two rounds of the Italian league this season, where he made a full appearance in the victory over Parma 2-0, and also participated in the win against Genoa 1-0, playing in the playmaker position alongside Kenan Yildiz. However, his possible absence may give the opportunity to the new arrival, Edon Zhegrova, should coach Igor Tudor decide to maintain the same tactical formation.
