Adnan Darjal Congratulates the National Team for Iraq's Victory in the King of Thailand Cup
The President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, congratulated the national team for winning the title of the King of Thailand Cup in its 51st edition, after defeating the host team, Thailand, with a score of one goal to none.
Darjal said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I congratulate coach Graham Arnold, the assistant coaching staff, and our champion players on this important achievement in the King of Thailand Cup, which is part of our preparations for the Asian playoff qualifying for the 2026 World Cup."
He added: "Despite the rainy weather conditions, the charged atmosphere, and the support of the Thai fans for their team, the Lions of the Euphrates showed great composure and achieved what they planned by seizing victory and winning the title."
Darjal concluded his statement by saying: "The journey is not over yet; we must continue to work diligently to present the best in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where the Asian playoff awaits us, and we hope that the joy there will be even greater for our beloved Iraqi people."
