Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz has won the US Open tennis title for the second time in his career, after achieving a thrilling victory over defending champion Jannik Sinner in four sets (2-6, 6-3, 1-6, 4-6).

With this victory, Alcaraz raised his tally to 5 Grand Slam titles at just 22 years old.

The title returned Alcaraz to the top of the ATP rankings for the first time since September 2023, ending a two-year absence, and putting an end to Italian Jannik Sinner's dominance, who held the top spot for 65 consecutive weeks.
