A report from "Catalonia Radio" revealed that the injury of Barcelona and Spanish national team player Gavi may be more serious than initially expected, opening the door for the possibility of him undergoing another surgery.

According to the source, the player is suffering from a problem in the meniscus of his right knee, which is the same knee that he had surgery on in November 2023 after sustaining a tear in the cruciate ligament while participating with the Spanish national team.

Gavi is expected to undergo further medical examinations in the coming hours to determine whether he will go into surgery or not, amid fears of a long absence from the pitch.

Barcelona announced last August that Gavi had an injury in his right knee without specifying the duration of his absence.
