Jakbo: Bayern Munich Wanted to Sign Me Before Contracting with Luis Diaz
Liverpool striker Cody Jakbo revealed that Bayern Munich showed interest in signing him during the summer transfer window, before the Bavarian club opted to contract with Colombian winger Luis Diaz in a deal worth £65.5 million.
In his statements, Jakbo said: "As far as I understood, Bayern Munich had already made an approach, but in the end, they bought Luis Diaz."
The Dutch striker, who recently renewed his contract with Liverpool for two and a half years, added: "It's good that things are clear; I have naturally gone through different experiences before."
He continued: "The transfer window can be a stressful and tense time for a player and everyone around him; I no longer face this problem now."
Jakbo had decided to continue with Liverpool, while Bayern Munich chose to move towards signing Diaz to strengthen their attacking line.
