Al-Ahli Officially Secures Atangana Deal Until 2028
On Saturday evening, Al-Ahli Saudi Club announced its successful acquisition of French player Valentin Atangana, known as 'Atanga', from Stade Reims, with a contract extending for three seasons until the summer of 2028.
The management of Al-Ahli confirmed that the player successfully passed the medical examinations before signing the official contracts, making him one of the key reinforcements that fans are counting on in the pivot position for the new season.
Atangana expressed his excitement for his first experience in Saudi stadiums, sending a message to Al-Ahli fans saying: 'Throughout the summer, you were looking for a pivot, and now there is no need for that, I am here.'
The player added in his speech: 'I have heard a lot about you and I look forward to meeting you soon in Jeddah, and I believe we will move together through time in a journey full of successes.'
Atangana began his football career at the Reims academy in 2015 before being promoted to the first team in 2021, where he signed his first professional contract in May 2022, then renewed it in October 2023.
During his career with the French club, he played 63 matches across various competitions, which allowed him to gain valuable experience that will add significant value to Al-Ahli's midfield in the upcoming phase.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahli had made several prominent signings this summer, including contracts with Abdul Ilah Al-Khaibari, Saleh Abu Shamat, Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Zakaria Hossawi, Matias Jonsalves, and Enzo Milot.
