The management of Al-Tai Club has given its approval for the transfer of its defender Aoun Al-Salouli to the newly promoted Neom team in the Roshan Saudi League, on a loan basis for one season with an option to buy before its conclusion.

According to exclusive sources, the player is expected to undergo medical examinations at a specialized center in Riyadh in the coming days, in preparation for signing the official contracts and joining the training of his new team.

Neom's move to contract with Al-Salouli came based on the recommendation of French coach Christophe Galtier, who confirmed his need to strengthen the defense line with local expertise capable of supporting the team's journey in its first season in the elite league.

Reports indicated on August 29 that there was competition between Al-Ahli and Neom for the signing of the Al-Tai defender, before the newly promoted club secured the deal in its favor through an official agreement with the management of "Al-Qassim Sugar".

Al-Salouli, who is 27 years old, is still under contract with Al-Tai until June 2026, which led to the agreement including a clause allowing Neom to buy the player's contract outright if they wish before the end of the season.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi defender progressed through the youth ranks of Al-Ittihad Club until he reached the first team in 2017, before experiencing loan spells with Al-Nahda and Al-Fayha, and later moving to Al-Tai in the summer of 2021, participating in 82 official matches.
