The Portuguese national team achieved a significant victory over their Armenian counterpart with a score of 5-0 in the first round of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

This victory brought the Portuguese team to 3 points at the top of the group, while Armenia remains with no points in fourth and last place.

João Felix opened the scoring for Portugal in the 10th minute, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo who scored the second goal in the 21st minute for the Portuguese team.

In the 32nd minute, João Cancelo scored the third goal for Portugal, and Cristiano Ronaldo returned to score the fourth goal in the 46th minute, while João Felix added the fifth goal in the 62nd minute.

The Portuguese national team will play against Hungary in the next round on September 9.
