Moroccan defender Abdel Moneim Boutouil is nearing a move to join Al Hazm in Saudi Arabia, as he is set to undergo medical examinations in Al Qassim on Saturday, paving the way for the official announcement of the deal in the coming hours.

A reliable source confirmed that Boutouil will join Al Hazm on a free transfer after his contract with Wydad Casablanca expired. He recently represented Wydad in the FIFA Club World Cup against Juventus and Manchester City.

Boutouil is 27 years old and has played six international matches with the Moroccan national team without scoring any goals. His current market value is estimated at around 550,000 euros according to Transfermarkt.

Boutouil's career began at the Royal Armed Forces club in Morocco before moving to the Qenitra club, and he then had a professional stint in the Belgian league with Union Saint-Gilloise.

The Moroccan defender also played for Chabab Mohammedia, then transferred to Raja Casablanca, before embarking on a new experience with Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa, which paved his way to Wydad in August 2024.

With his diverse experiences in Moroccan, African, and European pitches, Boutouil aims to prove himself in the Saudi league and contribute to strengthening Al Hazm's defense during the new season.
