The Moroccan national team achieved a resounding victory against their Nigerien counterparts with five goals to none, in a match that took place as part of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Ismail Sabiri opened the scoring early in the 29th minute, before adding the second goal in the 38th minute after a brilliant pass from Achraf Hakimi, ending the first half with the Atlas Lions leading by two goals to none.

At the start of the second half, Ayoub El Kaabi extended the lead by scoring the third goal in the 51st minute after a precise pass from Youssef Belaili, as the Moroccan team continued their absolute dominance over the course of the game.

Defender Nayef Aguerd added the fourth goal in the 69th minute after successfully following up on a set piece, while substitute Hamza Eghaman capped off the goal fest by scoring the fifth goal in the 85th minute amidst great joy from the fans.

The statistics highlighted Morocco's clear superiority with a possession rate of 73%, having taken 24 shots on goal compared to just two attempts from the Nigerien team, while players from both teams committed 26 fouls distributed closely between them.
