Paris Saint-Germain announced today, Friday, that their Spanish coach Luis Enrique was involved in an accident while riding a bicycle, resulting in a broken collarbone. The coach was immediately transferred to receive necessary medical care.

The Parisian club confirmed in its statement that Luis Enrique will undergo surgery in the coming hours to stabilize the fracture and ensure a quick recovery, without disclosing the expected duration of absence so far.

The statement added: "Paris Saint-Germain would like to express its full support for coach Luis Enrique and wishes him a speedy recovery," noting that the club will issue more information as updates on his health condition become available.

The Spanish coach is expected to be absent from the Parisian team's bench in the upcoming period.
