Palmeiras Coach Responds to News of Al Ahly's Interest in Signing Him
Abel Ferreira, the coach of Brazilian Palmeiras, responded to news of Egyptian Al Ahly's interest in signing him.
José Ribeiro had left his position as head coach of Al Ahly following a series of disappointing results.
Abel Ferreira stated in remarks reported by the Brazilian website 'egool': "My future? I will make my decision based on family considerations and what is in the best interest of the club."
He added: "Regarding my contract, whether I stay or not, my family will decide. But this is not the right time to talk about that."
He continued: "The important thing has never been and will never be me, Abel Ferreira. The important thing is always the interest of Palmeiras."
