In a controversial incident, a 32-year-old Brazilian businessman - whose name has not been disclosed - decided to bequeath his entire fortune, estimated at around one billion US dollars, to Brazilian star Neymar Junior.

According to Brazilian journalist Leo Dias, the businessman went to a notary office in Porto Alegre in July 2023 to document his will after suffering from serious health issues.

The source added that this man did not wish to give his fortune to relatives with whom he has no feelings, nor to the state, justifying his choice of Neymar by stating that he sees rare qualities in him, saying: "I love Neymar and feel that I resemble him a lot. He is not selfish, and that is rare in our days."

It is noted that the man is unmarried and has no children, which led him to allocate all his possessions — including investments and assets — to Neymar, whose fortune is also approaching the billion-dollar mark according to the Metropolis website.

The official document certified by the notary states: "This is the final will of the testator, which, in respect of his legal inheritance, stipulates that the available portion of his assets will go to Neymar da Silva Santos Junior."
