John Stones Leaves England Camp Due to Injury
Friday 05-09-2025
England coach Thomas Tuchel announced that defender John Stones has left the national team's camp due to suffering from a minor muscle injury, which will prevent him from participating in World Cup qualifying matches against Andorra and Serbia.

Tuchel confirmed that the Manchester City player arrived at the camp while dealing with minor muscle issues, but his condition did not improve as expected.

The coach said: "Unfortunately, Stones left the camp this morning. He arrived with minor muscle problems, and he has not improved as we had hoped. We will not take any risks with him, so he will not participate against Andorra, nor against Serbia."

After leaving the national team camp, Stones returned to Manchester City, where the medical staff hopes to prepare him before the resumption of the Premier League matches.

The player had participated in all three of the team's opening matches in the league this season under Pep Guardiola's management.

Manchester City is looking forward to a strong encounter in the Manchester derby against Manchester United on September 14.

The City team will also begin their Champions League campaign with a home match against Serie A champions Napoli on September 18, before facing Arsenal away on September 21.
