Union Suspends Talal Haji's Professional Career and Approves His Loan
The management of Al-Ittihad Club has suspended the professional path of striker Talal Haji in Europe after negotiations with Spanish club Celta Vigo stalled, as confirmed by exclusive sources to "Al-Riyadiyah".
The sources revealed that the player is close to embarking on a new experience by moving on loan to Al-Riyadh Club until the end of the current season, in a step aimed at giving him more playing opportunities.
"Al-Riyadiyah" had indicated on August 13 that the Union management rejected the Spanish offer after Celta Vigo requested to acquire the player on a permanent transfer without any financial compensation, which the management deemed unsuitable for the club's interests.
The newspaper also clarified on August 4 that the Spanish club submitted an official offer to buy Haji's contract, but the Union management insisted on preserving its financial rights and preferred not to proceed with the deal.
Haji, who is 20 years old, progressed through the youth teams of Al-Ittihad until reaching the first team, where he played 11 official matches, during which he scored three goals and assisted two for his teammates.
It is noteworthy that the young striker is the second youngest player to wear the Saudi national team jersey after Ahmed Jamil, following his first call-up by Italian coach Roberto Mancini for the matches against Pakistan and Jordan in November 2023.
