Ahmed Sid Zizou, a player for Al-Ahly club, deleted the controversial statement he published on his Instagram account after the announcement of the departure of Spanish coach Jose Ribeiro from leading the team.

Zizou had published a statement apologizing to Al-Ahly fans for the poor performance and the loss against Pyramids 0-2 in the fifth round of the Egyptian league.

In his message to Al-Ahly fans, Zizou stated that this time is an opportunity for the critics and he offered his apology to the Al-Ahly supporters, also confirming that he will do his utmost to help improve the team's results in the upcoming period.

Zizou, for his part, deleted his apology statement to Al-Ahly fans amid questions about the reason that prompted him to do so, just days after publishing it on his official account.
