Atalanta Targets Signing Sergio Reguilon

Media reports have revealed that the Italian club Atalanta is interested in signing Spanish full-back Sergio Reguilon to bolster its squad for the current season, especially with its participation in the UEFA Champions League.

According to the website "Fichajes", the 28-year-old Reguilon is looking for a new club that will give him the opportunity to regain his form and confirm his importance on the pitch, following a period of reduced participation.

The player is currently not tied to any club after his contract with English club Tottenham expired at the end of last season, allowing him to move for free without any fees, which enhances the chances of his joining Atalanta.

The report indicated that the Italian club values the extensive experience Reguilon possesses, especially after his stints in major European leagues with clubs such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, and Sevilla.

Atalanta appears to be the closest to finalizing the deal, given its genuine interest in the player and the absence of any financial obstacles, as negotiations are limited to contract terms without the need to pay a transfer fee.
