Ismail Ben Nasser Approves Move to Trabzonspor
Algerian international Ismail Ben Nasser is nearing a new chapter in his football career, having agreed to an offer from Turkish club Trabzonspor during the ongoing summer transfer window, in an effort to escape the shadow of a white season following his exclusion from AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri's plans for the current 2025-2026 season.
The Turkish newspaper "Sabah" revealed that Trabzonspor's management has entered into advanced negotiations with their counterparts at Milan to acquire the 27-year-old Algerian midfielder, with the club presenting an offer that includes a loan for the player with an option to buy, along with full coverage of his high salary, reflecting the Turkish club's seriousness in finalizing the deal before the transfer market closes on September 12.
Although Ben Nasser aspired to continue his journey with French club Olympique Marseille, where he played on loan for half of last season, the closing of the transfer window in major European leagues has made him more open to embarking on a new experience in the Turkish league.
The player hopes to quickly regain competitive rhythm to return to the plans of national coach Vladimir Petkovic and secure his place in the "Greens" squad for the Africa Cup of Nations finals scheduled for the end of this year. It is worth mentioning that Ben Nasser is currently absent from the national team's camp in Sidi Moussa in preparation for the matches against Botswana and Guinea in the World Cup qualifiers, due to his absence from match activities since the end of last season.
