Lewandowski Rejects Huge Saudi Offer
Thursday 04-09-2025
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" confirmed that Polish star Robert Lewandowski, forward for FC Barcelona, rejected a huge offer from the Saudi league worth over 100 million euros annually, presented by clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr through an investment fund.

The offer, which included additional incentives, was declined by the 37-year-old Lewandowski, who preferred to stay at Barcelona to compete in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, according to statements from his agent Pini Zahavi.

Zahavi confirmed in statements to a Polish media outlet that Lewandowski received a tangible offer from Saudi Arabia, but he chose to continue with his preferred club, noting that Saudi clubs are crowded with foreign players, and there are restrictions limiting their ability to register more of them.

Despite rejecting the offer, Zahavi indicated that football is a changing game, and the door is not completely closed on future offers, urging interested clubs to try again in the upcoming winter or summer transfer markets.

It is worth mentioning that Lewandowski's contract with Barcelona extends until 2026, with an option to extend until 2027 based on his performance, while Saudi clubs preferred to turn to other options, as Al-Hilal signed Darwin Nunez, while Al-Nassr acquired Kingsley Coman and Joao Felix, along with former Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez.
