Know the Expected Line-up of Iraq Against Hong Kong

The Iraqi national team has completed its preparations for tomorrow's match against the Hong Kong national team in the opening of the friendly four-nation King’s Cup in Thailand, where Australian coach Graham Arnold aims to experiment with a balanced combination of experience and young elements, as part of the preparations for the Asian playoffs qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

According to what has been leaked from the national team camp, the expected line-up for the Lions of Mesopotamia will be as follows:

Goalkeeper: Jalal Hassan.

Defense Line: Mirkhaz Doski - Zaid Tahseen - Rebin Solaka - Sherko Karim.

Defensive Midfield: Amir Fouad - Sajad Jassim.

Attacking Midfield: Marco Faraj - Ibrahim Bayesh - Youssef Al-Amin.

Forward Line: Ayman Hussein.




The Iraqi team enters the match with the ambition of achieving a strong start that gives the players a morale boost before the upcoming matches, as coach Arnold confirmed in previous statements that the friendly tournament is an important opportunity to test physical and technical readiness, while giving all 23 players on the list a chance to participate.

It is noteworthy that the match will be held tomorrow evening, Thursday, at the Kanchanaburi Stadium, as part of the semi-finals of the King’s Cup of Thailand, with the winner of the Iraq vs. Hong Kong match facing the qualifier from the Thailand and Fiji match in the final.
