Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed a surprise regarding Hamza Alaa, the former Al Ahly goalkeeper.
Hamza Alaa moved to the Portuguese club Portimonense, which participates in the second division league, at the end of last season.
Al-Ghandour stated on Facebook: "Hamza Alaa, the former Al Ahly player and goalkeeper, was not registered in Portugal due to work permits."
He added: "The registration has closed, thus he has become a free agent and it is possible for him to return to play in one of the Egyptian clubs."
