The famous journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Nigerian Ademola Lookman will continue his career with Atalanta in Italy, after failing to leave the team during the summer transfer window.

Romano clarified via his official account on X platform that the option to move to the Turkish league was not considered at all by either the player or the Italian club.

He added that Lookman has been included in the team's list to participate in the Champions League, noting that Atalanta's management did not even consider the offer from Bayern Munich, which was made in the last 48 hours of the transfer window for a loan with a purchase option.

It is worth mentioning that Lookman was very close to transferring to Inter, but the Italian club was unable to meet Atalanta's financial demands, before the Nerazzurri decided to withdraw from the deal.
