Al Ahly club announced via the 'X' platform the name of the new head coach for the team, succeeding Jose Ribeiro.
Al Ahly had dismissed Ribeiro following a series of poor results for the red team, the latest being the defeat to Pyramids in the fifth round of the Premier League with a score of 2-0.
The management of Al Ahly, led by club president Mahmoud El Khatib, decided to appoint Emad Nassar as the interim head coach until a new foreign head coach is settled on.
The board of directors of Al Ahly club also decided to appoint Walid Salah El Din as the director of football.
The sporting director of Al Ahly stated that consultations will continue in the coming days to select the remaining members of the coaching staff, which will be officially announced later.
