The Spanish club Barcelona officially announced that it has reached an agreement with Elche regarding the loan of player Hector Fort for one season, until June 30, 2026.
Hector Fort, a native of the Les Corts area, began his football career at Peña Blugrana Anguera before moving to La Masia in the 2013/2014 season. In the 2022/2023 season, he was part of the under-19 youth team that participated in the UEFA Youth League, where he caught attention with his defensive solidity and versatility in roles, making him a focal point for coach Xavi Hernandez.
Fort made his first official appearance with the first team in December 2023 against Royal Antwerp in the UEFA Champions League, and then made his first appearance in La Liga in January 2024. Since then, the player has regularly featured with the first team, recording over 30 appearances in various competitions despite his young age.
The club concluded: "This loan provides Fort with a greater opportunity to gain experience and develop his level before returning to Barcelona in the future."
