Neom Intensifies Efforts to Sign Turkish Striker Barış Yılmaz
Neom Club is intensifying its efforts to finalize its foreign signings before the summer transfer market closes on September 10, as it seeks to bolster its squad with players in the positions of striker and right winger, in addition to a young defender born in 2004 or later.
The club has successfully signed several notable names since the beginning of the transfer window, most notably Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bułka, French defender Nathan Zizi born in 2005, along with Ivorian Amadou Koné and Malian Abdoulaye Doucouré, who came from the English league.
The team has also strengthened its attacking line by signing experienced French striker Alexandre Lacazette, in addition to talented midfielder Simon Boubry, born in 2006, who arrived from Monaco, providing the team with multiple options at both the local and U21 elite league levels.
Turkish newspapers indicate that Neom's management has resumed negotiations with Galatasaray regarding international striker Barış Yılmaz, after talks previously stalled due to high financial demands, as the offer has recently been raised to 39 million euros with a 10% stake in any future resale.
Barış Yılmaz is distinguished by his ability to play in all attacking positions, whether as a striker or on the wings, making him a primary target for the club that is looking for a player capable of making a difference in the front line.
On the other hand, the management tried to sign French player Benjamin Pavard from Inter Milan to strengthen the defense, but the player refused to leave his Italian team, while the current negotiations are being led by CEO Saad Al-Lazeez and Greek sporting director Kyriakos Doriakos, under the direct supervision of club president Mishari Al-Mutairi.
