Renard Calls Up Al-Ahli Player for Green Camp in Czech Republic

French coach Herve Renard has decided to include Saleh Abu Shamat, the left-back of Al-Ahli, in the list of players for the Saudi national team participating in the training camp held in the Czech Republic.

The camp will kick off on Sunday and will continue until September 8, with the participation of 27 players chosen by Renard to prepare the team for the Asian playoff qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

The summoned list for the Saudi national team includes Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Abdul Rahman Al-Sanabi, Mohammed Al-Yami, Osama Al-Marmash, Muteb Al-Harbi, Jihad Dhakri, Mohammed Suleiman, Saad Al-Mousa, and Hassan Al-Tambakti, along with Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti and Ali Majrashi.

The list also includes Nawaf Boshul, Nasser Al-Dosari, Saad Al-Nasser, Salem Al-Dosari, Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud, Ayman Yahya, Mukhtar Ali, Ziad Al-Jahani, Mohammed Kanno, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, and Abdullah Al-Hamdan.

Completing the list are Musab Al-Juwair, Muhannad Al-Saad, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Saleh Al-Shehri, and Firas Al-Buraikan, finalizing the team’s preparations for two friendly matches against the Czech Republic and Macedonia.

The Saudi Green is preparing for the Asian playoff that will take place in Jeddah next October, where it competes in Group B alongside Iraq and Indonesia, as part of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
