Barcelona Holds Crucial Meeting Today Regarding Spotify Camp Nou Readiness
Monday 01-09-2025
FC Barcelona is holding an important meeting today with representatives from the Barcelona municipality, fire departments, and local police to evaluate the readiness of Spotify Camp Nou to host the team's match against Valencia on Sunday, September 14, as part of the fourth round of La Liga.

The club is still waiting to obtain a certificate of completion to issue an occupancy license, in an attempt to activate phase 1A, which allows for the opening of the main stand and part of the southern tier with a capacity of 27,000 fans.

Due to a concert being held at Montjuïc Stadium on September 12, it will not be available for the Valencia match, but it will be ready for the encounter against Getafe on the 21st. If Camp Nou is not ready, the club is considering holding the match at Johan Cruyff Stadium, although its capacity of 6,000 is below the minimum required by La Liga of 8,000.

As for the match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on October 1, a final decision has not yet been made, and if the side stands do not open as required by UEFA, European championship matches will be played at Montjuïc.
