Reliable journalist David Ornstein reported that Spanish club Real Betis has reached an agreement with Manchester United to sign Brazilian winger Antony in a permanent transfer deal, following intense negotiations in the final hours of the transfer window.

Betis initially aimed to acquire the player on loan, but the final agreement came as a permanent deal worth 25 million euros, along with variable clauses, including a condition to receive 50% of any future sale value.

The 25-year-old Brazilian international will not receive any compensation from Manchester United for terminating his contract, and the official announcement of the deal is expected before the transfer window closes tonight.

Antony had played the second half of last season with Betis and made a significant impact.
