Liverpool agrees to sign Isak in a record deal
Journalist David Ornstein confirmed that Newcastle United has reached a full agreement with Liverpool to sell Swedish striker Alexander Isak on the last day of the transfer market.
According to Ornstein, Liverpool finalized the deal for £130 million, including add-ons, while the actual cost of the deal is £125 million.
The 25-year-old player will undergo medical examinations today, Monday, before officially completing his transfer to Liverpool with a 6-year contract.
Isak, who is considered one of the top strikers in the English Premier League and Europe, will be a strong addition to Liverpool's lineup this season.
Isak has become the most expensive transfer in the history of the Premier League.
