Officially.. Al Ahly Announces the Dismissal of Its Coach
The Egyptian Al Ahly Club announced today that it has thanked the head coach of the first football team, José Riberiro, and his coaching staff, and has mutually terminated the contractual relationship between the two parties.
The club clarified in its statement that the decision came after a series of meetings held by the planning committee chaired by Captain Mahmoud El Khatib, in the presence of the club president and committee members, where it was agreed to end the contract after discussing all technical matters during the past period.
Al Ahly emphasized its great appreciation for the effort exerted by Riberiro and his coaching staff throughout their time with the team, noting that the new coaching staff that will lead the team in the upcoming phase will be announced later.
According to many local reports, Emad Nassar will temporarily take over the coaching of Al Ahly until a foreign head coach is contracted.
