Sky Sports has confirmed that negotiations are still ongoing between Manchester United and the Spanish club Real Betis regarding the transfer of Brazilian winger Antony, despite the previous agreement falling through.

The two clubs had reached a preliminary agreement last Friday, before Betis withdrew from the deal due to its inability to bear the financial costs under the current terms.

Nevertheless, there is still a mutual desire among all parties to complete the deal, with cautious optimism about the possibility of reaching a solution in the coming hours.

The current disagreement centers on how to compensate for Antony's remaining two years on his contract with Manchester United, and it may require the player to make concessions regarding his personal terms, especially since he has previously rejected several other offers in favor of returning to Betis.
