Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour, a former Zamalek star, revealed that Al-Ahly has entered negotiations with Jose Gomez, the former Zamalek coach and current Al-Fateh coach, to succeed Jose Ribeiro.
Al-Ghandour stated via Facebook: "Al-Ahly is in contact with Gomez, the former Zamalek coach and current Al-Fateh coach, to take on the responsibility, and the coach has shown his willingness to accept if Al-Ahly covers the penalty clause."
Pyramids achieved a 2-0 victory over Al-Ahly in the match that took place on Saturday evening as part of the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ahly currently occupies the twelfth position in the league table with 5 points.
