The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" confirmed that Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny is now officially registered in Barcelona's list to participate in the Spanish league, and he will be available for coach Hans Flick in the match against Rayo Vallecano in the third round.
Szczęsny missed the first two rounds of La Liga against Real Mallorca and Levante due to his registration issues, but the departure of Spanish goalkeeper Iñaki Peña to Elche created the necessary space in the wage bill to officially register the Polish goalkeeper.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper recently renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2027, after performing impressively last season when he played as a substitute for the first-choice goalkeeper Ter Stegen.
In a related context, the newspaper clarified that the Catalan club is still waiting to finalize the registration of player Rony Bardji, which is linked to the departure of both Oriol Romeu by terminating his contract and Héctor Fort, who is close to moving to Real Mallorca on loan.
