The Saudi Union club has moved strongly in recent hours to finalize the signing of young Portuguese striker Rodrigo Mora, having shown readiness to pay the buyout clause in his contract with Porto, which amounts to 70 million euros.

According to journalist Sasha Tavafollieri, the Saudi club is racing against time to complete the deal within just 48 hours, before the transfer market in Portugal closes next Monday evening.

The newspaper "A Bola" revealed that the 18-year-old player agreed last week on personal terms with the Union, but he is still listed in Porto's squad to face Sporting Lisbon, where he is expected to sit on the bench.

Despite the transfer market in Saudi Arabia remaining open for several more days, Porto's management has made it clear that they will not accept any offers after the closure of the local registration period, due to a previous experience with the Union regarding Galeno.

On the international front, Rodrigo Mora's name did not appear in the list of the Portuguese national team announced by coach Roberto Martinez, as he was called up to the under-21 Olympic team, a step that Martinez described as a natural progression in his career.

The future of the young striker remains open between the option of continuing with Porto under coach Farioli, or taking on a new challenge with Al-Ittihad in a deal that could be considered one of the largest in the summer 2025 transfer market.
