Al-Najma Saudi Club, recently promoted to the Roshan League, announced on Friday the official signing of Iraqi national team player Ali Jasem to be part of the team for the new season.

The Iraqi player's new experience will mark his third venture in European leagues, following his stints with Como in Italy and Almere City in the Netherlands on loan during the past season. Ali Jasem also has extensive local experience, having previously represented several prominent Iraqi clubs including Al-Karkh, Al-Shorta, Al-Kahrabaa, and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.

The Saudi club stated in an official announcement via its account on X that "Al-Najma has officially signed Ali Jasem," accompanied by a video showcasing his best goals and touches on the field, confirming that the player will be a strong addition to the team in the upcoming season.

Ali Jasem received professional offers from both Al-Hazm and Al-Najma, but he chose to join the latter, considering it the best option to continue developing his technical skills and compete with outstanding players in the Saudi Roshan League.

It is worth noting that the Iraqi player was awarded the title of Best Young Player in Asia for the year 2024, reflecting his significant importance within the Saudi team and enhancing his chances of delivering strong performances both locally and continentally.
