Paulo Bento Arrives in Tashkent to Train Uzbekistan
The Portuguese coach Paulo Bento has arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, to negotiate with the Football Association regarding coaching the Uzbek national team.
Bento was chosen after discussions with several well-known coaches, to lead the Uzbekistan national team in the 2026 World Cup after the 'White Wolves' qualified for the first time in history.
The team from Central Asia aims for a strong representation in the finals, given its development and possessing outstanding players like Abdulkadir Khosanov, a Manchester City defender.
Bento has extensive experience, having previously coached the national teams of Portugal, South Korea, the UAE, Sporting Lisbon, and other teams.
