Coach Vladimir Bietkovic confirmed the importance of achieving victory in the upcoming match for the Algerian national team against Botswana, stressing the need to enter the match with strong determination before facing Guinea in Morocco.

During the press conference held on Thursday morning at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, Bietkovic explained: "We must focus first on the match against Botswana and earn the three points, then we will move on to face Guinea with the same spirit and determination."

The coach also mentioned that AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer has not yet regained his full physical readiness, as he has only been training with the U-23 team, adding: "We will work to help him regain his level quickly because he is an important player for us."
Regarding goalkeeper Mandria, Bietkovic justified his exclusion by stating: "We cannot call up a goalkeeper who plays in the third division for the national team."


Bietkovic welcomed the return of defender Kabal to the "Greens", noting that he followed his performance last season in the French league, and said: "I am pleased to get to know him closely and integrate him with the group."


The coach explained that the limited time does not allow for complete preparation of all details, confirming that the team will rely on its own playing philosophy, without changing its style according to the opponent: "We will conduct a training session with the entire group on Tuesday, followed by a final session in Tizi Ouzou before the match."


He also addressed the African Nations Championship for Locals, praising the work of coach Majid Bougherra, and confirming that some players who participated in the championship have become part of the extended squad for the national team.
