Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus has summoned a list of 22 players for the match against Al-Taawoun on Friday evening in Buraidah, as part of the opening round of the Roshan Saudi League. The list saw the return of defender Nader Al-Sharari after recovering from a muscular injury.

According to sources from 'Al-Riyadiyah', the list includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders, in addition to six forwards, with Jesus set to exclude two names from the selected list before the match starts.

The goalkeeping list includes Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Brazilian Bento Matheus, and Raghd Najjar, while the defense features Nader Al-Sharari, Abdul Ilah Al-Amri, Spanish Inigo Martinez, French Mohamed Simakan, and Salem Al-Najdi, along with Nawaf Boshul, Sultan Al-Ghanam, and Ayman Yahya, who the coach has deployed as a left-back.

In midfield, Jesus has called up Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Ali Al-Hassan, Croatian Marcelo Brozovic, Brazilian Angelo Gabriel, and Portuguese Joao Velish, who plays in multiple positions between midfield and attack.

Leading the attack is Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo alongside Senegalese Sadio Mane, French Kingsley Coman, Abdul Rahman Ghareeb, Mohamed Maran, and Brazilian Wesley Gasofa. Sources indicate that Brazilians Wesley and Angelo are the most likely to be omitted from the final list on match day.

The capital team departed for Buraidah on Thursday evening via private flight, after completing three consecutive training sessions at the club's stadium in Riyadh, the last of which was just before traveling.
